New Album Features Songs of Hope and Encouragement

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Singing News Fan Award nominee Sharron Kay King has just released her highly anticipated new recording.  Entitled Don’t Stop Believing – the new recording features songs of hope and encouragement for believers and non-believers.

Sharron said, “I truly believe God has placed in me the desire to encourage people who have for one reason or another felt like giving up.  I have a real burden for folks who have suffered spiritually and those who feel there is no hope.”

She continued, “Don’t Stop Believing features songs from my heart.  I know that God has planned this album for this season in my life, and I’m excited for the opportunity to share this message with other people.”

The new album was recorded at TMC Studio and the Terry T Room with Terry Thompson serving as head engineer.  The album features many of the industry’s top session players – such as Gary Smith, Dave Pomeroy, Sonny Garrish, Rob Ickes, Jeremy Medkiff, Andy Leftwich, Robb Tripp, and Bryan Sutton, who also served as session leader for the recording.

Sharron Kay King said, “I’m so very excited for everyone to hear this new album.  It has been a real labor of love, and I’ve stretched myself on this recording like never before.  I just know these songs are meant to minister to a lot of different people!”

Don’t Stop Believing features three original songs by Sharron, including the title track, which she co-wrote with award-winning songwriter Chris Binion.  Other songwriters who contributed to the new album include Eric Horner, Dee Gaskin, Sue C . Smith, Dave Salyer, and many more.

The debut single from the album, “God’s Been Good,” was written by Sue C. Smith and Belinda Smith.  The song is expected to hit Southern Gospel radio next month through Family Music Group.  The song can be found on Family Music Group Compilation, Vol. 46, cut #2.

The new album is a follow-up to the SGN Music Award nominated project The Road I Know – which spawned off the hit singles “When I Say Christian”, “Coat of Many Colors”, “You Never Gave Up On Me”, and current single “I’d Walk This Valley Again.”

Sharron has already had a tremendous year in 2008.  Sharron received her second SGM FanFair Award in April – winning Soloist of the Year.  In addition, Sharron was a Top 5 nominee for Horizon Individual in the 2008 Singing News Fan Awards.
